For each location/router Doppler stores various details about the installation. These details can be displayed to users in various interfaces/situations. All information is shown on the Router Page, some is displayed in Quick View and some is shown on Public Map. It is recommended to provide good details about a router as this will be of great benefit in later use of the system.
From the Router Page you can Edit the router's details. Some of this information can be displayed on the Public Map for Group of which the router is a member. See also Public Map feature.
Name: Typically name of the location where the router is installed.
Serial: This is automatically read from the router and cannot be changed.
Location: If set to LAT/LONG Doppler will mark the position on the map. Use decimal format (-)DD.DDDDD, (-)DDD.DDDDD
Secret Token: On some rare occations the Doppler client (daemon) cannot connect to the Doppler server due to an expired token. If so use this function to reset the token.
Public Map: When Enabled the router's position and information will be available on the Public Map.
DDNS: Doppler creates a Dynamic DNS for each router. The default name is <serial>.doppler.network. <serial> can be replaced by a different more describing name.
Alias: This name is displayed on the Public Map instead of Name. Used when Public should not know Name.
URL: Use this to set a link which can be clicked in the Router Page. Could be used for link to documentation about the installation. URL is also hyperlinked to Name or Alias on the Public Map.
Group: Select the group from the drop down.
WAN Override: If set Doppler will connect to the router using this address instead of the address reported by the daemon which normally will be the celluar interface.
MSISDN: Used for communication to the router via SMS
Subscription Name: Name of service subscription. Visible in search and CSV-downloads.
Notes: Notes are shown on the Router Page and on the Public Map. Notes can contain html for easy hyperlinking to 3.party systems.
Upload image: One image (JPG/PNG) can be attached to the router and shown on the Router Page.
User Script1 - 4: In these sections you can give the script a name and write short instructions to send to the Digi routers when the script is selected from the Router Page. The script is SarOS/XOS/ACL commands and can easily be combined with Python.
